This is a new plagiarism tutorial created by the Vaughan Memorial Library in Acadia in the US. This is being used to teach university students about the importance of referencing. If you think your students may benefit from using it you may link this to blackboard under their copyright conditions. Acadia librarians use these modules to teach basic research skills to students and to supplement one-on-one and in-class information literacy instruction.
Also, you or your students might find this plagiarism tracker tool useful. You simply paste in the text you feel may not be copied (or not sourced correctly), and the advanced option offers a timeline of current and past possibilities for copied text. Plus there’s a list of possible links from which the text may have been copied.
