QUT has access to Morningstar Direct as part of our 2009 Etrials. Morningstar is accessed via a desktop client which must be installed on your PC. You only need to install the client once, however students using Morningstar in the labs will need to install the client each time they log onto a lab PC. Morningstar also requires an active internet connection, so when on campus, staff and students must activate their IAS client to connect to the Morningstar server. You will need to have admin rights to install this product on your desktop in the FOB, so you will need to log a job with the IT help desk to do this. Morningstar Direct provides the most complete and timely link to Morningstar’s global investment database and analytics. Designed for institutions, it’s optimized for competitive analysis, performance evaluation, investment selection, and portfolio creation.
